ONENESS FEST
INCLUSIVENESS POLICY

Inclusiveness Policy

ONENESS FEST recognizes and honors the divine nature and essential human dignity of all persons, regardless of their race, ethnic origin, age, gender, gender identification, sexual orientation, religion, disability, economic circumstance, physical appearance, body size, marital status, or military status.

We teach that honest, open engagement brings healing and reconciliation, and we encourage thoughtful, soul-searching dialogue when discrimination against one class of individuals enters broader social debate. It does not harm members of a majority group to gain understanding of the lived reality of members of a minority group: to the contrary, empathy and self-examination are virtues.

ONENESS FEST is committed to providing an inclusive and safe environment for our community members, staff, ministers, volunteers, event participants, clients, and all others we meet.

We will do this by:

  • Urging all members of our community to respect and honor each person they meet, treating them as the expression of divinity that they are.

  • Respecting expressions of every person's fundamental identity, including, but not limited to, ensuring that rituals and workshops targeted toward a specific class of person are open to all who self-identify as part of that class.

  • Providing programs which speak to and serve the full spectrum of those who attend ONENESS FEST's events, as well as providing space for people to speak their own truths and be heard.

  • Supporting efforts to bring about greater justice and equality in the broader society and world of which we are all part.

ONENESS FEST takes diversity and inclusiveness seriously and does not tolerate harassment of any kind at its festivals and events. If anyone engages in behavior that jeopardizes the safety or comfort of any person at ONENESS FEST, please inform ONENESS FEST staff or festival coordinators immediately, so that the matter can be addressed.
